Michael is the Co-Founder and Executive Director for FAIECY-SL, with over five years of experience in sustainable food advocacy and development consulting. He has led environmental conservation initiatives, including the implementation of solar dryers, to address climate change, hunger, and inequality in rural commun

Co-Founder & Head of Programs
Francis Magona Bassey
Francis is a Co-Founder and Head of Programs at FAIECY-SL, bringing over four years of youth leadership and two years of experience in climate entrepreneurship. He has successfully impactful initiatives under FAIECY-SL through his expertise in climate advocacy, program development, and stakeholder engagement. Francis excels in mobilizing communities, educating youth on climate resilience, and promoting sustainable practices. His work, driven by innovation and collaboration, inspires others to embrace sustainability and advance climate justice.

Isatu Kamara
Isatu Kamara is a registered nurse and FAIECY-SL volunteer who contributed to genderfocused outreach, promoting the involvement of women and girls in the solar dryer project. Her efforts ensured the project aligned with community health and empowerment goals.

Moses Fofanah
Moses Sahr Fofanah, a Cofounder and Safeguarding Officer at FAIECY-SL, holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. He develops and trains staff on safeguarding policies, ensuring effective collaboration with communities and partners, and is also a writer and feminist.

Ibrahim Moiba
Ibrahim is a Civil Engineering student at Fourah Bay College and the Co-founder and M\&E Officer at FAIECY-SL. He provided technical expertise for the solar dryer project, ensuring its sustainability and alignment with the community's needs.

Safeguarding Officer
Francis Aruna
Francis Aruna, the Safeguarding Officer for FAIECY SL is a young talented, motivated and innovative changemaker from Sierra Leone, he is always open up to making a positive impact and building a sustainable community empowerment solutions. On the backdrop of making a positive impact, he has worked tirelessly in making long lasting change in societies. Francis have acquired a strong learning experience on his moves in making impact in leadership, safeguarding policies, Advocacy, team work, and effective communication.

Francess Kamara is a climate change activist and health practitioner with experience in advocacy and community engagement and outreach.

Finance Officer
Amadu Koroma
Amadu Koroma is an aspiring accountant and the Finance Officer for FAIECY-SL. With a solid background in accounting from Brigham Young University and Ensign College, he has successfully overseen procurement and budgeting for the solar dryer project, ensuring efficient resource use. Amadu is passionate about climate change activism and is dedicated to promoting sustainable solutions in underserved communities.

Project Manager
Vaffie Umaru
Vaffie Umaru is a dedicated change-maker with a background in Information Technology and experience in education advocacy and community development. He contributed to project documentation, ensuring transparency and accountability, and is involved in initiatives promoting climate change awareness, gender equality, and youth empowerment.
